Born and raised in Bethesda, Maryland, he now lives just 10 minutes from his childhood home. Michael married his college sweetheart, Patti Chartier in June 1999. Patti, originally from Northern Virginia, is a stay at home mother of four. They currently reside in Gaithersburg, Maryland with their four children, Kane, Caroline, Preston, and Declan as well as their black Labrador, Tahoe. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Michael earned his Bachelor of Science degree while working his way through college and playing football for the Terps. As a member of the United States Marine Corp, Michael was featured on College Gameday ESPN for his playing experience and hard work. In January 1996, Michael joined First Financial Group as a planner. In early 2005, Michael founded Worch Financial Group. It is through this venture that he will continue to enhance the delivery of personal financial engineering services. People love to listen to Michael speak because he educates through application. His common sense yet innovative and progressive approach to personal finance makes him a demanded speaker at area CPA firms, universities, professional organizations, law firms, and even other national financial planning firms.
